Before we reach the hotel, we drive through the avocado and macadamia plantation that belongs to the estate. Upon arrival, Tracey, the owner of Highgrove House, is waiting for us for a warm welcome, refreshing towels and a welcome drink. Tracey passionately talks about the history of the family business and shows us the beautiful gardens and main building. You imagine yourself in a bygone era. We notice that attention to detail will be the guiding principle for our stay here when we receive a tour and are escorted to our suite. Literally everything has been thought of. Over the past few days we have been spoiled culinary and we have really enjoyed the peace and nature. Nothing was too much for the team of Highgrove. We wished we could have stayed longer. Where to start… Highgrove House Country Hotel is simply breathtaking! From the moment you arrive, you are welcomed with warm hospitality that instantly makes you feel at home. The food is nothing short of exceptional Every meal is crafted with care and bursting with flavor. The staff go above and beyond, ensuring that every detail of your stay is perfect. And then there are the views… truly spectacular, offering the most serene and picturesque setting you could ever dream of. I can’t recommend this place highly enough – whether for a peaceful getaway, a romantic escape, or simply to treat yourself, Highgrove House is an experience you’ll cherish forever. Nous ne pourrons malheureusement pas y séjourner car notre voyage en Afrique du Sud a ete annulé mais c'est un immense regret. La gérante de cet hôtel s'est montrée extrêmement comprehensive par rapport a notre situation. Such a memorable stay here at Highgrove House. My wife, cousin, best friend and I stayed here for one night after the safari portion of our trip, and my only wish is that we stayed longer. The rooms are lovely, the suites have an outdoor shower/sauna for an extra touch of R&R, and the property is beautiful. Tracy was so kind, spending time with us at the bar before dinner, and made our dinner experience extra special. Many compliments to the chef - dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious! The morning before we left, she took us on a little tour of the property, telling us more about the history and their farm. We'll definitely return in the future! ~ Stan A

We stayed for 2 nights of our honeymoon. We wish we had stayed for longer. As soon as you check in, you realise that you don't want to go any where else yhe whole time. The warm welcome that you get from the staff there, the level of hospitality is out of this world.. Tracy has a sparkle in her eyes and makes you feel like you have known her forever. The dinner is definitely a winner. We had the nicest meals for all the time we spent there. The location of the facility completely unplugs you from the rest of the world. Beautiful place to stay in if you want a 7 star treatment. We visited the spa for a treatment. I tell you all the staff in that place have a drumbeat rhythm to the way they treat guests. The owner' s warm demeanor radiates through the place, the food, the staff and everything at Highgrove Definitely will be seeing me again. ~ andiswa m

All I can say is WOW! Whether you're looking for a staycation or a taste of South Africa if you're from abroad, Highgrove House Country Hotel is definitely a must visit. The staff are absolutely amazing and hospitality is on a 100, we were made to feel like we were a part of the Highgrove family. The five-star meals (which includes a 5-course dinner by the way) could not be faulted, chef's kiss! The lodge offers a calm, peaceful and quiet environment which encourages you to relax and unwind whilst reflecting on different aspects of your life (in a good way ;). Highgrove Country House is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the stunning surroundings and the warm hospitality. Amazing location amongst the trees. Quiet, with only the sound of birds and the occasional rustle of leaves. Private rooms tar are nicely separate from each other and the fire place makes the room even cosier in winter. The food at the restaurant is divine. Dinner is 5 courses of perfectly prepared food and breakfast is well portioned that ensures you don't feel stuffed for the rest of the day. Sitting outside reading a book and watching the birds hop through the trees is the perfect way to relax during the day, and sitting in front of the wood fireplace at night. ~ Malcolm M

Tracy and her team went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, from a warm welcome and property tour to sharing the history of Highgrove, local wines, and macadamia nut farming. She even made my husband’s 40th extra special with sparkling wine and balloons. Breakfast was exquisite (don’t miss the homemade hashbrowns)! The property is stunning, with lush greenery, private pools, saunas, and thoughtful touches throughout. We only wish we could have stayed longer. ~ Maria P

Awesome place to stay in! One hour’s drive to the start of the Panoramic Road (R532) along the Blyde River Canyon (must go), you’ll receive a warm & personalized welcome from your hosts. Antique-style beautiful suites in the middle of a lush garden with private pool & sauna. Ask for nb 1 suite, you’ll have the visit of little monkeys on your terrasse ;-) Dinner included, home made delicious food :-) ~ Maxime F

We spent a lovely 7 days at Highgrove House. My husband had business to attend to in Hazyview but we mainly came to rest. We found the service excellent and professional. The meals were 5-star and my husband's gluten free needs were catered for excellently. I found the spa to be the best in the world, and cannot wait to visit Highgrove House again. ~ Michelle D

If you are looking for an idyllic retreat then this is the place for you. Set in the hinterland above Hazyview surrounded by beautiful gardens, the only sounds you hear are the rustle of the leaves as the monkeys hop from tree to tree. A day spa is available or you can relax by the pool. Kruger Park is a mere day trip away. ~ Lynne A
